Christmas Community Hero

As you will have seen in our Christmas post, there were many, many people involved in making our Christmas community lunch such a resounding success. We’re immensely grateful to all of you who played a part – you’re all Christmas community heroes in our book: Thank you!

There was one person whose contribution was so extraordinary that we wanted to give her a special shout out. Chef Jacqueline Allen dished up an absolute storm for 82 senior citizens in our communities. After asking them in advance what they wanted to eat, she created five separate menus for the senior citizens to choose from, each served with a slice of cake. You should have seen the smiles on their faces – that’s what we work for! We received so many compliments on the ‘excellent’ quality of the food.

The best thing: Jacqueline cooks all year round. Her business TJ NATURALS JERK HUT specialises in Caribbean cuisine and brings the healthiest out of our favourite traditional dishes, without ever lacking in the authentic elements.
