Oxford Community Action

To conclude the half term week with a bang, we organised a family camping trip to the Avon Tyrell Outdoor Centre near Bournemouth.
Avon Tyrrell is an amazing outdoor learning venue dedicated to the continuous development of young people. We participated in the lake activities, kayaking, rope trails and climbing, cooked a delicious barbecue and at night gathered around the big fire before retreating to our tents. It was an incredible experience!
Many of us remember fondly the time we spent in our youth in nature and the wonder we experienced. But not all of us are made to feel equally comfortable when we hike and camp in the British countryside. Then there are financial and cultural barriers. To overcome all these obstacles, we organise community events at affordable prices – whether they be day trips, scout activities or camping adventures.
Our next camping trip will take place August, 4-6. If you’d like to come, keep an eye on our website, https://oxfordcommunityaction.org/upcoming-hike-details/, and join our hiking telegram chat (see website).
We hope to see you there!
