Also on Sunday, we hosted the latest OCA Charity Cup. 16 Oxford teams took the field to compete for the prized trophy. The talent, spirit, and enthusiasm was incredible. The teams were Bayer Neverlosen, Albania FC, Cowley United OBC FC, DIZ Warriors, Waisa FC 1 & 2, Oxford Rangers 1 & 2, Oxford Bus Company FC, Oxford International College FC, Academica FC, OTCA FC, Fortuna FC, Tazlekar FC, A Team and Polania.
In the end, Bayer Neverlosen stayed true to the their name and defended their title in a closely contested final against Albania FC. Congratulations!
Together, we raised £800 (!!) for the Somalian orphan school for girls we support. We can’t wait to tell you more about just how much of a difference this will make in the girls’ lives.
A big thank you to our amazing referees Banjo, Comie, Naz and Soul. We could not have done this without you! And a big thank you to all the teams, managers and players.
Finally, we extend a special thank you to the two county councillors who generously sponsored this tournament, Cllr Imade Edosomwan and Cllr Mohamed Fadlalla. Thank you for your support.
