Today was full of gifts at OCA
Our biggest gift this Christmas (and always) are our amazing volunteers. (Thank you, you are stars!). Today, during our last session before the holidays, we were able to give them some presents as a small thank you. This was made possible by an anonymous donor – blessings.
Our families with children also received gifts from OCA today: books, colouring books and utensils, teddies, board games, instruments… . These gifts were brought to us by Emmy O’Shaugnessy, Ark-T Joint CEO, who’d generously collected presents for our families and many others. Thank you Emmy and everyone who donated – we hugely appreciate you and your hospitality!
Then there were some unexpected presents given out by the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, Amanda Ponsonby, who paid us a special visit today. She gifted special, freshly minted Oxfordshire chocolate coins to our children and volunteers
And that’s not all. Harriet Baring from The Angus Irvine Playing Fields Fund also brought us food and second-hand clothing for the Diversity Football League, the project OCA grew out of. Thank you!
Last but not least, final thanks go to our volunteer Bertha for wrapping all the presents (have we mentioned how amazing our volunteers are?).
We wish you all safe and peaceful holidays
